It all started in 2006 when a group of concerned friends gathered to offer help to those suffering from addiction. Today, CDLL, is a Lebanese nonprofit non-governmental organization that is determined to shed light on the drug and alcohol dependency problems that are controlling the lives of several individuals. We also provide the necessary support to their families through several different recovery programs. We make it our goal to raise awareness, educate the society at large, and create a better world free of drugs.

CDLL has a dedicated team of volunteers and professionals from a wide range of different backgrounds: social workers, psychologists, rehab specialists, spiritual counselors, recovered addicts, and communication and fundraising experts. Our team, who will always be available to help those who need it, puts all their efforts to supporting people struggling with drug problems.

Based on the lack of accessible, credible, and centralized information related to drug education in Lebanon and the Arab region, the CDLL launched this website to become a national platform that can serve as a reference to anyone who is in need of information and orientation on these issues. With this website, we can give hope to the youth at risk, users, families, and friends who might suffer from any drug related problem.

With a joint effort between our recovery and prevention team, a communication and fundraising team, and consultants in online and prevention fields, this website was born with the hope of helping those suffering and to raise awareness. Several focus groups took place to help us better assess what was really needed. The groups consisted of recovering and ex-addicts, their families and friends, youth from different schools and universities, social workers, and school staff.

With 10 years of experience, CDLL was able to shape this website to provide simple, yet necessary, information about drugs and orientation.
